Best Bluetooth headphones for your smartwatch

With the rise of the Apple Watch and Android Wear smartwatches you can now carry your tunes on your wrist, but you’ll need a spiffing pair of wireless headphones to listen to them.

As smartwatches become less tethered to your smartphone, pairing them up with headphones makes more and more sense. The Apple Watch can already play music, track your exercise and even pay for things in your local store, so untethering is becoming more and more common. What’s more, going wireless is greta with your smartphone too.

We’ve rounded up the best Bluetooth headphones on the market to suit all budgets, so check out these wireless streaming beauties.

Edifier Extreme Connect Bluetooth Speaker Review

0

IMG_0020 copyI’ve tried my fair share of Bluetooth speakers over the last few years, and whilst some have been truly surprising, others have left a lot to be desired.  Edifier isn’t new to this end of the audio market, but with the Extreme Connect Bluetooth speaker, it has taken a stab at making a slab of audio for kids, party goers and those with a penchant for brightly coloured things.  Is it any good? Keep on reading to find out.

Sennheiser Momentum Over Ear Review

0

Sennheiser_momentum_4Here at Technow, we like things loud. Lucky for us, I got my hands on a pair of over ear Sennheiser Momentum. These headphones promise to be a sensory delight. But do they meet my expectations? The momentums are Sennheiser’s attempt to produce a pair of cans that are desirable for everyone. Monster Beats got this spot on with their bold design, and clever marketing campaigns; and even though the audio quality doesn’t warrant the cost, children, students and adults alike spend hand over fist for the looks.

HTC BoomBass Speaker Review

0

IMG_0036 copyIn the words of The Fresh Prince, backed by DJ Jazzy Jeff, “Boom! shake-shake-shake the room, Tic-tic-tic-tic Boom!” And with that, I present to you an unusual smartphone accessory in the form of the HTC BoomBass.  It’s a Bluetooth speaker cube that pairs via NFC, and has a rather novel sliding base on which you can rest your smartphone. The curious part? It’s not a normal speaker. So if you own one of HTC’s One smartphones, keep reading…

Edifier Luna Eclipse Review

IMG_0057 copy

Edifier’s latest 2.0 speaker system comes in the form of the ‘Luna Eclipse’ set, which packs Bluetooth alongside a traditional 3.5mm input in a rather attractive package that from some angles could be mistaken for a space-dwelling craft, whilst delivering a build quality that rivals far more expensive brands.  Of course it’s not all about the looks; Edifier has to deliver something that sounds as good as it looks. Read on to see if it has.

Libratone Loop Review

0

IMG_0002 copyLibratone first came to my attention early last year after I was demonstrated their new range of wireless speakers at the Bristol Sound & Vision show.  Shortly after we reviewed the Zipp, which still stands as one of the most impressive portable speakers I’ve heard. A year later and their latest addition comes in the form of the Loop.  Larger than I had expected, the Loop is a substantial speaker that can take audio from a range of sources;  read on to find out what I thought.

Blue SPARK Digital USB Condenser Microphone Review

0

IMG_0018 copyBlue came to the attention of YouTubers and podcast producers with their Snowball and Yeti USB microphones.  Renowned for quality and ease of connectivity, they spawned Blue’s more recent professional digital condenser microphone designed to make professional quality recordings possible in any creative environment – on either iDevices or PC.  How did I sound – pretty awful probably, but read on to confirm your suspicions.

Nude Audio ‘Move’ Bluetooth Speakers Review

0

IMG_0015 copy I admit it – I giggled like a child when I was offered the chance to look at the NudeAudio ‘MOVE’ Bluetooth speakers.  I presumed they’d be another set of speakers with more style rather than substance, though I’m happy to report I was largely surprised. There’s more than just a funky brand and lovely design at hand, so as the late Marvin Gaye would no doubt say… let’s get it on with the Nude MOVE in sizes medium and small.

Harman Kardon Bluetooth Headphones

0

IMG_4279 copyHarman Kardon are renowned for their unique designs, excellent design and Apple endorsement but up until now my only experience of their headphones were the AE earphones featured in our 2013 In-Ear Headphone group test. Their latest Bluetooth headphones are very similar to the wired CL headphones; clad in steel and leather but without the restrictive requirement of wires. Like most other quality Bluetooth headphones, they’re not particularly cheap, so can their sound and build quality match up to the renowned design? Read on to find out…

Edifier Bric Connect

0

IMG_4256 copyHaving taken a look at previous Edifier speakers I was keen to see what they could do with a bigger portable speaker than the Sound-To-Go I reviewed last time.  Edifier produce some nicely built products that sound great for the money and despite the Bric Connect not being a contender for the high-end portable speakers from Bose, there’s a hotly contested market out there consisting of a large number of Bluetooth speakers that the Bric Connect has to contend with.

Pioneer XW-SMA4-K Wireless Speaker

0

IMG_4043 copyWelcome one and all to yet another full-featured speaker-dock review here at TechNow where we are looking at something else from Pioneer, but this one’s a bit of a beast. As you may know, we love having choice, and this dock is slathered with ways to connect your tech to it. The SMA4 is going to have to do a lot more than be handy with WiFi to have me sold. I am going to delve deep into the sound and see what makes it tick.. tick.. BOOM. Ahem.

Nokia 620 + JBL Powerup wireless speaker review

0

IMG_3830 copyHaving already looked at the larger Lumia 820, we decided to bundle the 620 review together with the nicely matched JBL Powerup wireless speaker, as in many ways they belong together. Not like their eyes met across the room at your friends party, they’re literally built to work together, apart from the wireless charging not being compatible with the phone, but we’ll get back to that later.
